‘Will take this relationship forward’

Mumbai :
After meeting Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray today evening, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said he would “take this relationship forward”. Kejriwal and his Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Mann met Uddhav and his son Aaditya Thackeray at their Mumbai residence ‘Matoshree’. AAP leader Raghav Chadha accompanied Kejriwal and Mann.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut found himself in trouble today with yet another defamation case against him for claiming that Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s son Shrikant Shinde had hired a goon to kill him. This comes after a similar case was filed against Raut at Kapurbawdi police station in Thane city on Wednesday night.

Amid the tough fight between parties for the coming Kasba Peth and Pimpri-Chinchwad by-elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today attacked the Congress for communal polarisation in the bypolls. BJP’s Chitra Wagh took objection to Congress’ Usman Hiroli urging the party to get voters from Dubai and Muskat, in an attempt to win the bypolls. Later, Congress clarified that Hiroli’s statement was misinterpreted by the BJP. The Chinchwad and Kasba Peth Assembly bypolls, being contested by the NCP and Congress, respectively, is scheduled to be held on February 26.
