An Indian comedian, who is often credited as ‘Gajodhar‘, is none other than Raju Srivastav. Like many other comedians, he is also one of our favorites. His birth name is Satya Prakash Srivastava. His genres are Observational comedy. We all love his witty sense and the huge amount of humor that he carries.
On 25 December 1963, Raju Srivastav was born in Kanpur. He belongs to a middle-class Indian family. Ramesh Chandra Srivastava was his father, who was a poet. His father was called a sweet name by everyone, ‘Balai Kaka’. Raju from his childhood, always wanted to be a comedian as he had a good mimic sense.

Raju Srivastav is a famous name in the world of comedy. He has performed in Indian stage shows as well as abroad. A few years back, we were so fond of CDs and cassettes. For that craze, he launched a series of audio cassettes and CDs. His initial popularity was for his looks, which was considered Amitabh Bachchan’s early face. Initially, he progressed by doing small roles in Bollywood films. In the movie named ‘ Maine Pyar Kiya’ from Rajshri Productions, Raju had a small part in it. He also got small roles in famous movies like Baazigar, Bombay to Goa.
His entry into stand-up comedy was with the talent show ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. He finished it as a second runner-up. He again participated in ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge –Champions’ where he won and got the title of ‘The King Of Comedy’. Raju also participated in ‘Big Boss’, and ‘Big Brother. He along with his wife participated in ‘Nach Baliye’ season – 6. Raju participated in other TV shows as well.
In Kanpur, Raju Srivastav was put to the ground as a politician by Samajwadi Party in the year 2014 for Lok Sabha election. But, he returned his ticket on 11 March 2014, claiming that he was not getting proper support from the local units of the party. After all these, he joined Bhartiya Janta Party on 19 March 2014. Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi nominated him as a part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Since then, he is focused on cleanliness. He arranges various events for promoting cleanliness. Along with it, he also made various videos on this featuring it on social media as well as TV.
